Memorial Day Honors

It's an early morning.  The sun has just peaked over the horizon in promise of a beautiful day.  The dew has yet to burn off the freshly cut blades of grass. The black capped chickadees begin to sing to welcome this new day.  The morning song is broken with the sound of men walking among this field filled with memories and heroes.

A gentle breeze blows as a soldier begins to play Taps.  It's a song that has been played for all who lie here.  A song that welcomes another hero home.

To many times we take for granted what the soldiers who are buried in Arlington National Cemetery, as well other cemeteries around the country, did for us.  Each of them believed so strongly in our freedoms that they gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, so that we may be free.

Each year, we take the time to pay tribute to America's real heroes in our Annual Memorial Day Honor's issue.  With out these brave men and women we would not have the freedom to listen to the music we want to listen too.  We would not have the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion,  the freedom... to live.

Please join us as we honor America's Real Heroes this Memorial Day and everyday!

Each year, Strictly Country dedicates one issue of it’s publication to Memorial Day Honors.  In this ever popular special issue we print stories, photographs and lyrics to special songs in regards to honoring our nations military.

Please note, we are not seeking any political agenda with this special issue.  Our only agenda is to honor those who have served, who continue to serve and those who have given their lives for our freedom.  The staff at Strictly Country, strongly believes in honoring those who have faught and died deffending our freedoms.  Especially, our freedom of free speech.  Therefore, we take this time each year to honor and celebrate the men and women who served in our Armed Forces.

World War II Photographs

In 2007, Strictly Country received an e-mail.  This e-mail contained the war photographs that you see below.  The story behind these war photographs is that a man found an old Brownie camera that was stored in a footlocker of a relative who was a sailor.  This sailor was on the U.S.S. Quapaw ATF-110 during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.  Seventy years later, the photographs depict the horrors of that devastating attack on America.  A special thank you to the man who sent us these historical photos.
