Fight For The Future Charities It's early in the morning, the dew is still upon the grass. As the sun gently comes over the horizon, casting shades of purple, blue and then gold, the birds begin their morning songs. It's a beautiful sound as the world gradually wakes to begin a new day. Deep in the north woods of Wisconsin and Minnesota you find a log cabin with open doors. The people inside are eager to help in any way. It's called Wisconsin and Minnesota nice and it's a beautiful thing.
In April 1996, Strictly Country captured that Wisconsin and Minnesota nice in what we call Fight For The Future Charities, FFFC. Through FFFC, we ask entertainers to autograph Christmas ornaments and donate other items to raise funds for various charitable organizations. In the past we have worked with The American Cancer Society and The Jacob Whetterling Foundation For Missing Children.
Since April 23, 2004, Strictly Country has helped raise funds for the P.O.W. Network. This charitable organization helps maintain the history of the POW / MIA issue, with a focus on Vietnam using both an Internet and archival presence. It currently is housing over 50,000 documents. No group, organization nor individual is charged for material, research, lists, or answers generated through online, phone or mail inquires.
The nice thing about donating to FFFC, is that they are totally tax-deductible under IRS rulings to the full extent of the law. However, the nicest thing about FFFC is that all items donated are priced affordable. Strictly Country chose to keep the price of each item low so that any person under any financial bracket can afford these items. Since it's inception, Fight For The Future Charities has raised over $3000.
We still welcome any donated items. We also have a variety of Christmas ornaments waiting to be autographed. If you are interested in helping, please contact us. |
