Prior to 1995, Record labels would produce a box in which the CD would release in. This packaging was produced to deter would be thieves from stealing albums. In the early 1990’s, environmentalists called upon CD manufacturers to stop manufacturing this type of security packaging. They stated it was boxes / packagings like these were filling up landfills. Strictly Country came across several of these security boxes.
