As the snow begins to melt, and the trees begin to bud, so does the love between two people. Spring brings a new beginning with fragrant flowers. With it comes another season of love filled with weddings.
As you and your partner begin your plans for your big day, don’t forget one of the key items, music. Music is the all important key element in a wedding. Not only does it set the mood for love, it also can make your wedding more memorable. Choosing the right song, ones that contain a catchy tune or a special message will enhance your memory, especially if they contain a special meaning for the both of you. Each time you hear the song, it will remind you of your special day. Your guests will also appreciate your choice in songs.

The first step in choosing the right songs is checking with the venue where your wedding ceremony is being held. Most churches have a list of requirements for the songs in the ceremony. If there is a list, make sure that your choice in the songs follows those requirements. If so, you may want to check out our list of Country Music Inspirational songs.

The second and most important step is to pick songs that are special to the both of you. Remember, your wedding ceremony marks the first hour of your long life together as one. Pick songs that are special to both of you.

Third, remember the original recording is always the best. If you have a soloist or someone performing your songs, make a list of requirements for them. This will insure that all expectations are met.

But, most of all enjoy your wedding. This is your special day. The day that marks the beginning of your life together!

To help you in your decision, we have composed a list of country music songs that are perfect for any wedding. This list is not a complete list. Therefore, we continue to add to this list throughout the year.

Strictly Country copyright A Northwoods Country Wedding Parent Child Dance

Parent Child Dance

Each wedding contains within many special moments, but the most precious of those moments is neither seen nor felt.  It is the moment when a parent must, within their hearts, let go of their child so that he or she may become one with their new spouse.  Most often this moment is only shared between the child and the parent, privately within a small room in a church or house.  In modern days, this special moment is shared with all whom attend the festivities as the parent and child join together in dance.
We have all seen many videos on YouTube that capture this event as the parent and child dance to a pre-rehearsed song as if it were a dance recital.  But many of us are unable to dance like Fred Astaire.  Therefore, we bring to you a list of songs perfect for any parent and child dance…

All In The Family - Sylvia
Dance Baby Dance – Chris Cagle
Handprints On The Wall – Kenny Rogers
I’ll Leave Something Good Behind – Barbara Mandrell
In My Daughter’s Eyes – Martina McBride
Tea Parties - Matt Leadbetter
Thank God For Kids – The Oak Ridge Boys
Thank God For Kids – Eddy Raven
Thanks Again - Volume Five
